Ribbit King
Ribbit King (featuring the bonus disc Ribbit King Plus!) ...
RedCard 20-03 brings Midway’s signature over-the-top arcade philosophy to world soccer. Released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002, the game was developed by Point of View and published by Midway Games, taking the sport of 11-on-11 soccer and fusing it with extreme physical combat and high-speed action.
Unlike traditional soccer simulation titles, RedCard 20-03 completely eliminates penalties, yellow cards, and red cards. Players are encouraged to tackle, dropkick, headbutt, and slide into opponents to steal the ball and take out defenders. Executing physical moves fills a specialized "Boost Meter," which can be activated to unleash supercharged sprinting, un-stoppable tackles, and cinematic, slow-motion "Boost Shots" that send the ball flying into the net with explosive visual effects.
The game features over 50 international national teams along with unlockable secret teams, such as alien invaders and SWAT teams. Players can progress through World Conquest mode to unlock new stadiums, teams, and cheats, or dive into Conquest Mode for tournament play. With accessible controls, fast-paced action, and robust 4-player local multiplayer support, RedCard 20-03 provides an insanely fun, action-packed alternative to conventional sports simulators.
